Shelby's Last 5 hours
my last 5 hours where the best i had ever had. All from going to Roy Weiland's house with victoria and seeing his horse Tinkerbell and dog Brinks.. too group time with everyone having cookies, Popsicle, and an ice cream sandwich. first we got back from a day of 60% driving and 30% working. you ask about the other 10%, well wemostly sat and that would involve lunch. After working at 2 different sites we came back and took showers. When we got back I found Roy and he asked me if we were ready to go and i said that Vic just got in the shower and she was almost done. When we were ready to go we left and went to pick Nico up at daycare. He is so cute. Then we went to his house and feed Tinkerbell.(well with treats) We played with Brinks, sat, and made sure that roy remembered his pillow. We when on our way back to Gloria Dei we found out that we only had 20 minuets to get back for dinner. We got the in just the nick of time as in we got there when they where on the way to dinner. So we ran in and suprised Austin and we had dinner. After we did devotion the had group time where we had cookies and icecream. now I am here!!!
Hey, right now I'm watching a pretty one-sided Foosball match and the funny thing is, the person who just beat me is losing. I think that this goes to show that many people interact with each other very differently. In a group of people this large, many uncommon friendships can arise. For example, Shelby is now good friends with Roy, the replacement for outside Ralph. This one aspect of large groups is probably why I like things like these.

Alyssa and Kaitlyn's happy tales :)
Heyo!
So today we worked on the work site for about 3 hours then hit the park to eat some delicious lunches made by another church. Then we worked again for about an hour. When we say work we mean... painting the outside of the blue house, cleaning out the garage, and cleaning out everybody's paintbrushes, rollers, and pans. It was quite eventful. The ride home was humorous watching Katy and Shelby sleep:) Let's just say they were OUT. We came back to the church and rushed to the showers before all the others got there and rinsed all the dirt off but washing the paint off was a little more tedious. After that we owned Katie and Carissa in Foosball. TWICE. Now we're all sitting waiting for the barbecue to arrive. Yumm, more later!

Improvisation
This is why we rock- we can improvise like there's no tomorrow. (but there will be a tomorrow parents, only kidding)
Today we woke up on time, even early by some measures, despite the snoring vibrations sneaking up from the lady sleeping on the bunk under me all night long. Meals here are catered... ? did not see that coming. McDonald's for breakfast, Bar-b-Que waiting for us tonight, and iHop tomorrow for breakfast. woah.
On the way to our sight the lovely Ms. Junelle was a gracious and safe driver. Our meeting place was a random intersection near an upturned cemetery, where we picked up trash to pass the time. We split up to do landscaping and painting. I was a painter. KP and I were looking up all morning painting the ceiling inside the house. I somehow managed to get a very small drop of paint on my contact lens, which I could not scrape out until we got back to the church. yay
There were slightly too many people, with slightly too few ladders for all the outside painting. Hence, we finished at 2:30 and got back in time to miss the major lines for showers. So not the worst thing ever.
I'm not sure exactly how the landscaping crew's day went. Most of our boys headed over there. I heard there were a few interesting dirt lines once the socks came off. Apparently the yard was full of holes and very sloped... Good for them :)
Right now we all find ourselves doing what we wish- playing basketball, reading, talking, playing fooseball, napping, eating, etc. We will have some rockin worship time this evening before more games and then bedtime. Hopefully there will be less snoring...
